COVID-19 Updates & Information

Updated: Mar 27, 2020

The Corona virus has taken the world by storm the past couple of months and things are changing so quickly, it can be hard to keep up with the latest developments. As a doctor, business owner and relative to many elderly people, I have been doing my best to keep my finger on the pulse of COVID-19. Instead of putting together a list of ways to avoid contracting the virus, as I'm sure all of you have already heard about hand washing and social distancing a million times by now, here is list of sources that I've found to provide science-backed facts so that you can keep up-to-date on the latest corona virus news.

Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center

I've found that Johns Hopkins is a great resource to get an overview of the numbers: how many confirmed COVID-19 cases there are worldwide, in each country, state etc. as well as how many people have already recovered. Also, get updated information from experts about the virus itself!

CDC Covid-19 Corona Virus

If you have more practical questions like, "how can I protect myself and my family from COVID-19", or "what should I do if I'm feeling sick," or "How can I prepare my household for the upcoming months" the CDC has very detailed and up-to-date information about best practices.

World Health Organization on Corona Virus COVID-19

A great resource with frequent live video updates as well as recommendations on how to take the appropriate safety measures to avoid contracting and spreading COVID-19, is WHO. Here is a link to their answers to many frequently asked questions about the virus: Corono Virus Q&A's

NYC Official Government Website

3. New York State Governor

For updates on New York State policies and regulations related to COVID-19, visit the The Official Website of Governor Cuomo or the official website of whatever state you live in. As each state has had a unique response to the corona virus, it's a good idea to keep up to date with the latest changes in your community.

Hope you find these resources helpful! I'm frequently posting updates on my Alexes Hazen MD Facebook page as well as my Alexes Hazen Md Instagram account so follow me if you are interested in my take on all of this.

Stay healthy and safe!
